Wisdom from the Abbey–Mother Hilda–The Sun Is Rising (Mother Hilda says that at the Abbey they arise before dawn and she notices that it doesn't matter what season it is, at some point it gets quite cold, the temperature drops just before the sun rises. Mother Hilda thinks that might be how it works with you and I. We struggle along with a particular issue, and it gets worse. It gets cold. And it is at that point that we so often lose heart. We think nothing will ever be right again. And yet the truth is the sun has just risen. Things so often need to simply run their allotted course, so the next time things are getting cold, the next time things feel as though they've suddenly got cold for you, be of good cheer. It's only God telling you that he's there, that he's moving, that things are getting better. God just landed on your heart; sunrise has come.)
