VOP 2022: January 8, 2022 Awake to hidden treasures “Discerning Spirit” The Spiritual realm is more powerful than the physical realm, and we must always be alert and discerning to partake of the hidden treasures in secret places. Abiding in the secret place of God Almighty grants us access to His riches in glory. The irony of life is that most things we assume are not the reality. The fact that someone’s physical eyes are open does not mean that the spiritual eyes are open. It is wise to ask the Holy Spirit to open our spiritual eyes to see far beyond the physical or natural realm. The Woman with the issue of Blood was spiritually awake to the truth that a divine touch of the hem of Jesus’ garment was all she needed to be totally free from a long lasting infirmity of twelve years. She received her healing because she refused to be discouraged by the failed attempts from relying on Man. Mark 5:25-34. Also Blind Bartimaeus though physically blind, was spiritually awake and alert to discern that his desperate cry for help from Jesus Christ, the great healer was what he needed, and his sight was miraculously restored. Mark 10:46-52. At Marah, the tree that eventually sweetened the bitter waters was there, but they did not see it until the Lord opened their eyes to see it. Prayer: Father, please open my eyes to see the hidden treasures prepared for my advancement in Jesus’ name, Amen. “So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them, and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians.
