<p>Kings have a talent for disappointing their subjects. Some squander their power, forgetting the protective purpose of kingship. Others wield their scepters for evil purposes. Still other royals decide to chuck the robe and careers (and even countries!). In today’s Palm Sunday sermon we will enjoy a fantastic story that shines a bright light on King Jesus’ particular splendor. As we’ll see, the splendor of our King holds great promise for our own lives.
