The People Beg for More! (Mastering Our Message, Part 1) - Sermon - January 22, 2023

<p>When I was six years old I met my maternal grandfather for the first time on a visit to his house in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He and my wonderful step-Grandma Gloria lived in a wonderful country house, made of stone and situated by a small stream. I loved that house, with its big front yard, cool basement where my raucous Italian relatives hung out, and the upstairs living room that was as quiet as the basement was loud. When I made my next visit four years later, "Grandpap's" house was the same, but different as well. It occurred to me that my memory had shaved off some of the nooks and crannies of that great place. Friends, in Week 3 of Ambassador U., we're going back to the "house" of the biblical gospel in a sermon from Paul's sermon in the synagogue of Antioch of Pisidia. We'll have the opportunity to see how Paul's good news matches with our memory of the message we've been saved to share. This message will be challenging, maybe more of a seminar than a sermon. But that's why we shouldn't miss it. 'Cuz it's an opportunity to learn and to be better equipped to carry out our callings as King Jesus' ambassadors! Can't wait to see you this Sunday.
