The impacts of prostate cancer treatment on men and their partners with Martin Sweeney

Today on the podcast we are joined by the wonderful Martin Sweeney who's joins us today to speak about support for men after a cancer diagnosis. Martin speaks about his own diagnosis of prostate cancer in 2015 and how the support recieved particularly from arc cancer support led him to becoming a group facilitator for men with prostate cancer and his involvement with the Irish cancer society public patient involvement panel and the work he does with the urology team in the mater hospital with the postpor programmes helps prepare men for a prostatectomy. Today we speak about some of the side effects experienced from prostate cancer treatment and how speaking these personal and intimate issues can central to people's treatment outcomes.
