Police rescue two kidnap victims in Delta, recover live cartridges, others

<p>A combined team of security operatives, comprising the Anti-Cult Unit, SIB Unit, and the local vigilante groups, led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Oghara Division in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, CSP Olasunkanmi Musiliu, have rescued two kidnap victims unhurt in Oghara-Ugbenu link road in Ethiope-West Local Government Area of the State.</p>, <p>The incident occurred on the 31st of August 2023, at about 11:30 am, DAILY POST reports.</p>, <p>The police also recovered four live cartridges, one Tecno Spark phone, one ATM card, and three SIM cards of different telecommunication networks from the scene.</p>, <p>The Delta State Police Command, led by CP Wale Abass, confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.</p>, <p>The police image maker said the kidnap victims have reunited with members of their families.</p>, <p>According to him, the kidnap suspects abandoned the victims who were allegedly abducted at the Oghara-Ugbenu link road and escaped.</p>, <p>DSP Edafe said, “Regardless of the victim’s rescue, efforts are on top gear to ensure the arrest of the fleeing suspected kidnappers.”</p>
