<p>One of the biggest disappointments about not watching movies in theaters during the pandemic was missing out on that communal experience — a chance to laugh, cry, and/or be scared together.</p> <p>That last part — the rush that comes from “being scared” and the odd sense of comfort that comes from that — is where we’ll go next. Like I mentioned at the end of the last episode, we’ll stay in the genre lane, delving into the thriller, horror and sci-fi films we can’t get enough of.</p> <p>In this episode, that means looking at the work of Paul Verhoeven, George A.
