Ministers appointed based on political strengths for possible election rerun – Public affairs analyst, Abels

<p>A public affairs analyst, Eugene Abels, has suggested that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s choice of ministerial appointments is based on political reasons in the event of a rerun.</p>, <p>He noted that the ministerial nominees are mostly strong politicians who have influence in their states.</p>, <p>Abels, in an interview with DAILY POST, said he believes these ministers were appointed to deliver votes for the present government, in case there is a rerun in some states.</p>, <p>”We are aware of the current state of affairs concerning the last elections, and I think that the appointments are purely based on political reasons in the event that there is a rerun.</p>, <p>“If you look at the list very well, 90% of them are politicians, who supposedly have strong influence politically in their domains.</p>, <p>“In case elections are cancelled in some areas, in case the Supreme Court rules that there should be a rerun, they want to be ready, that’s the way I see it,” he said.</p>
