It has been two years since Joyce Echaquan died in a Quebec hospital after broadcasting online the racist abuse she faced while waiting for treatment. We discuss what has changed — and what hasn’t — with Glenda Sandy, a Naskapi-Cree public health nurse from Kawawachikamach, Que.; Nakuset, executive director of the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal; and Dr. Samir Shaheen-Hussain, a Montreal pediatric emergency physician and assistant professor at McGill University's Faculty of Medicine.
