If You Earn the Credit, They'll Give it to You | ReWire 1291

<p>I was at an event recently and there was a guy speaking on stage claiming all the things he did while he was with a particular company. </p> <p>The funny thing is, I was standing next to the very guy who actually did the things the guy on stage was talking about for the same company. </p> <p>He said, "That guy was there for maybe 5 minutes into the things he's talking about."</p> <p>I guess in the speaker's mind, he was a huge part of that. </p> <p>But, here's my point: </p> <p>There are people like this I meet every single day. </p> <p>When I interview someone from Grant Cardone's camp or Tony Robbin's camp, they'll have you believe they were single-handly responsible for all the growth they've experienced at various times in their careers. </p> <p>The truth.....I pass on those people. </p> <p>Because I know, those people aren't the ones who have done the work consistently to create what those people have created. </p> <p>I've had people that have left me do the same thing to me when they've left.</p> <p>I know cause I hear about it. </p> <p>But people like Tony Robbins, Grant Cardone, and me are still going to win with or without them. </p> <p>Who I do hire are those who say, "Yes, I worked for this person.
