<p>This was a hard episode. Jason&apos;s mom, who was abusive to him and his siblings growing up, was on death&apos;s doorstep as we recorded this episode. We hope that Jason&apos;s transparency and honesty about the situation is helpful to other adult children of abusive parents who are nearing death.<br/><br/>We also chatted about a book that Ben is reading for work, and why it&apos;s so hard for Ben to be &quot;told&quot; what to do.
