<p>It's not the dark haired one from Hear'Say [Read this if you get frustrated with what you're trying to change]</p> <p><br> <br> We're on a mission to help one million people RISE by 2030 - join the movement at <a href="http://www.myrise.co.uk/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.myrise.co.uk</a></p> <p><br></p> <p>Who remembers Popstars the TV Show?</p> <p>It was only 20 years ago so I’m sure we all do 😉</p> <p>I remember watching it in the house I lived in for the third year of Uni.</p> <p>It was the one where the five selected contestants formed the band Hear’Say and the other five start a group called Liberty (later Liberty X).</p> <p>Wikipedia tells me it was Popstars: The Rivals which created Girls Aloud later that year.</p> <p>Anyway, back to Hear’Say.</p> <p>I quite fancied Myleene (the dark haired one, as mentioned in the blog title).</p> <p>She’s on the radio nowadays I believe.</p> <p>Myleene.</p> <p>Not to be confused with ‘myelin’</p> <p>“an insulating layer, or sheath that forms around nerves, including those in the brain and spinal cord. It is made up of protein and fatty substances. This myelin sheath allows electrical impulses to transmit quickly and efficiently along the nerve cells”</p> <p>As we lay down new neural pathways, learn new skills and knowledge, myelin production in the brain increases.</p> <p>There are four stages to any learning process.</p> <p>Unconscious incompetence.</p> <p>We’re not very good at something but aren’t even particularly aware of that.</p> <p>Conscious incompetence</p> <p>We start doing something and realise we’re not very good.</p> <p>Conscious competence</p> <p>We’ve got pretty good at something but it still takes conscious thought</p> <p>Unconscious competence</p> <p>We’re good at it without any real effort.</p> <p>The conscious incompetence phase is the one we struggle the most with.</p> <p>We start doing something and quickly get dispirited.</p> <p>It’s harder than we thought.</p> <p>Frustrating.</p> <p>Annoying at times.</p> <p>We might not consciously choo
