Cannes 2023: Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones on the red carpet

"A forever star and an illuminating artist": those were the words of actress Uma Thurman as she presented Michael Douglas with his Cannes lifetime achievement award. The 78-year-old actor was first at the festival with "The China Syndrome" in 1979 – but probably his most famous film presented was "Basic Instinct" in 1992. We look back at his career. Also on the programme with Eve Jackson: we're getting red carpet ready with Helen Mirren, getting to know the president of the jury, Palme d'Or-winning director Ruben Östlund, and having a first peek at Spanish director Pedro Almodovar's queer cowboy short "Strange Way of Life", starring Ethan Hawke and Pedro Pascal.
