BBP | EP 23 - "Jackie Chan" of Nigeria beats his wife & state Governor "saves" the marriage

<p>Mr. Pius Angbo aka "Jackie Chan" of Nigeria, a journalist with Channels Television station, allegedly assaulted his wife who is a doctor. The wife cried out on social media and before we knew what was happening, the Governor of Benue state left more pressing state matters to attend to the couple. After the Governor counselled the couple, they agreed to put aside their differences and continue with their marriage. No public apology from the husband and no word on further therapy sessions to prevent future assaults. While we wish them the best, should the Governor have done more?</p> <p>On a lighter note, we discuss a lady who doesn't earn very much but aspired to go to a very expensive restaurant. She said this aspiration in the presence of her boyfriend and his friends and her boyfriend proceeded to mock her aspiration by sharing the details of her low salary to all present. She was obviously embarrassed and ended the relationship. Did she over-react or was her boyfriend disrespectful?</p>
