Bornstein has dedicated more than 30 years to higher education in a variety of leadership and management roles.&nbsp; Dr. Bornstein, with degrees from Bradford College, the University of Vermont, a doctorate from the University of Denver, and an honorary doctorate from Northern Arizona University, is a prominent advocate for student success, quality instruction, increased access to education, and strong strategic and tactical planning.</p> <p>Dr. Christine J. Sobek became the fourth president of Waubonsee Community College on July 1, 2001. In this role, she is responsible for the overall leadership of the college - which serves more than 14,000 credit students each year. More than 1,100 employees provide educational programs and services at a network of four permanent campuses located across the 624-square-mile college district and through extensive virtual and online classes and services.
