<p>Gabriela is currently a member of the committee on Foreign Affairs and the committee on urban and Metropolitan Development in the <strong>Mexican parliament</strong>. She is also the honorary<strong> president</strong> of the inter-parliamentary Union for Mexico.&nbsp;</p><br><p>In this podcast, I talk about decisions and empathy in business and politics with Gabriela.</p><br><p>She's got some great insights into decisions and empathy that I think will challenge some common assumptions we all have.</p><br><p>Gabriela was elected the <strong>president</strong> of the inter-parliamentary union with<strong> 80%</strong> of the votes being the <strong>second woman,</strong> the youngest person and the first Mexican to take over this role. Gabriela is also the co-chair of the steering committee of the <strong>EU Hc 2030</strong>, which is a<strong> multi-stakeholde</strong>r international health partnership comprising governments from<strong> 66</strong> countries.&nbsp;</p><br><p>Gabriella was also the <strong>senator</strong> and chaired the <strong>Foreign Affairs Committee</strong> in the Mexican parliament and achieved two important reforms during her tenure.&nbsp;</p><br><p>Gabriela was also the<strong> mayor of Mexico City</strong> and was the only woman at the time to have this position. She was in charge of over <strong>5000</strong> employees and <strong>500,000</strong> inhabitants. Gabriela received an innovation and transparency <strong>award</strong> from the local transparency authorities in Mexico, Mexico City.</p><br><p>Gabriela is also an active volunteer, she co-founded Foundation, Erica, Mexico, which currently benefits around <strong>17,000</strong> young students in Mexico.
