<p>MIles Postlethwait was born premature with midline congenital birth defects. He has undergone dozens of surgeries and treatment procedures. His mother, Marty says, “My life of mothering him was filled with endless days and nights in hospital rooms, doctors’ offices, and recovery waiting rooms. When Miles was four he noticed a lot of kids were alone and needed a doll to be with them during those alone times. Shadow Buddies was then, born. Since 1995, The Shadow Buddies Foundation is a non-profit organization that has been bringing smiles, hope, and companionship to medically challenged children across the country and around the world in the form of cuddly, plush Buddies. When children are faced with a health care challenge, they need a friend to bring along on their journey.
