1919: Government urged to investigate attack on WFP convoy in Jonglei

<div>The acting UN Humanitarian Coordinator has called on authorities in Jonglei to investigate a recent attack on a humanitarian convoy between Gadiang and Yuai.<br> <br> </div> <div>Three people were killed when unknown armed men attacked a convoy of 44 trucks carrying WFP food assistance last week.<br> <br> </div> <div>Acting UN Humanitarian Coordinator and UNHCR Representative in South Sudan, Arafat Jamal condemned the attack and called for the perpetrators to be held accountable.<br> <br> </div> <div>Meanwhile, acting WFP Country Director, Adeyinka Badejo, called for unhindered access for humanitarians who work to save lives.<br> <br> </div>
