179. Trish & Gary Walker have been through drug/alcohol addiction, cancer and suicide. Yet it was ‘Monkey Brain Art’ that turned it all around to heal others help others and themselves. What a story!

<p>Gary Walker suffered a severe back injury in the Military. After years of attempting to heal his chronic pain he got addicted to pain killers and alcohol. It was a call from Gary’s mother that got him stop his planned suicide attempt because she asked him to paint her a picture. While all of this is was going on, Trish was running their janitorial service, then got breast cancer, then covid. Their story how they have stayed together and are helping vets, first responders and nurses deal with their PTS is wonderful. Their mission is to help calm the unsettled minds of Veterans and First Responders through art, meditation and mindfulness.
