1741: Seven covid related deaths reported in Yambio, Western Equatoria over a four week period

<div> Seven COVID-19 related deaths were reported in Yambio, Western Equatoria. The deaths occurred between the last week of August and the last three weeks. <br> <br> </div> <div>Addressing journalists in a weekly briefing in Juba, officer in-charge of the Public Health Emergency Center, Dr Angelo Guop Thon said the cases in Yambio were confirmed after a postmortem was conducted in response to increasing deaths within the community of people with COVID-like symptoms. <br> <br> </div> <div>This brings the number of registered COVID-19 related deaths in the country to 128 since the start of the pandemic last year.<br> <br> </div>
