1674: New Tax Payment Directives in South Sudan

<div>The National Revenue Authority, NRA, says there is a significant increase in the number of taxpayers accessing their electronic services. Recently, the NRA introduced an electronic tax (e-Tax) portal for Taxpayer registration and issuance of Tax Identification Numbers through its website.  This is in line with the South Sudan Taxation Act, 2009 and part of economic reforms spelt out in the peace agreement. NRA’s Deputy Commissioner General, Africano Monday spoke to Miraya's Lucy Kiden and said the system will enable efficiency in registration and filing of all transactions. He says it allows visibility of all transactions in the country and cover leakages. </div>
