You are not who you were (1 Corinthians 6:9–11)

The gospel of the Lord Jesus is good news in every area of life, even when we're speaking about the highly contested area of sex and relationships. When the apostle Paul writes to confused Christians living in the sex-mad city of Corinth he is able to talk about who they were once and who they are now. There are behaviours that need to be given up when we turn to Christ, but every repentant believer is washed, holy and justified no matter who they were.
