Description

There’s an urgent need for food affecting many parts of Africa and a disproportionate amount of those people who need food are women. Guest host Susan Bonner speaks with Gabrielle Cole, regional head of gender equality and inclusion for Plan International in West and Central Africa. We also hear from Elizabeth Bryan, a senior scientist at the International Food Policy Research Institute and one of the authors of a new article published in the journal Nature. She says a more gender-focused approach to aid is desperately needed to prevent the food insecurity women are facing.
