Description

Winter Storm Watch for Counties along Hwy 24 and Warning for those along Hwy 40 and south Today a low-pressure will move out of 4 Corners and along the KS/OK border tonight and off to the east Saturday. This will lead to increasing clouds and with current snowpack will remain cold in the 30’s. 3” to 6”+ snow accumulations are expected south of I-70 to just and 1” or 2” north to the KS/NE border tonight and tomorrow morning. Not a lot of wind with the system either so no drifting is expected. Saturday will see morning snow showers with the system moving out of the area in the afternoon. Sunday remains cold with another disturbance Sunday night, Monday, and early Tuesday. This system is forecasted to be a bit further south tracking in Texas and Oklahoma and may only result in clouds or minor light snow locally but needs monitored for tracking further north.
