<p>I am blessed to know some truly interesting, intelligent, well-rounded, well-spoken, remarkable and beautiful women. Leah A. Jacobson, founder of the non-profit The Guiding Star Project, and an advocate for a radical new approach to women's health care, is one of them.<br/>Leah and I connected when she participated in one of my mastermind groups for women, exploring the topic of self-worth and identity- and while we were in the experience, I came to understand how truly remarkable she is. She has seven children. She founded a massive non-profit that supports women's health with multiple physical centres across the United States. She's a lactation consultant. She appears on major news outlets regularly. She coaches track. She's one of those women you look at and say, I wonder how she does it all? <br/>But my view on Leah really changed when I read her book Wholistic Feminism: Healing the Identity Crisis Caused by the Women's Movement. A key component of Leah's overall mission is to help women realize that there's nothing wrong with their bodies- their bodies don't need to be altered, changed, suppressed, denied, especially in the way artificial forms of birth control do this.<br/>As a Catholic, not using artificial birth control like the pill, or any other methods, makes sense to me. It's deeply woven in the understanding of life, the dignity of life, and the power of a woman's fertility. But if I am being really honest, I have struggled with how to explain such a delicate subject with my friends and colleagues who might not be Catholic- it's such a personal topic! It's going to be uncomfortable to talk about! Everyone's just going to think I am trying to convince them to have 12 kids! People don't even know what it means to have a cycle how on earth can I talk about natural ways to avoid pregnancy that don't mess with your body without sounding out to lunch? I don't have an MD or any training on this- how can I speak about women&ap
