Somehow the body of Jesus on the cross paid for all the sins I have committed with my body and in my heart.</p><p><br></p><p>So this passage paints a mental image for us of entering what would be the scariest place in the universe for guilty people — the holy presence of God – but because of the body of Jesus offered on the cross on our behalf, we can now enter with confidence. Not because of our righteousness but because of Jesus’s bodily sacrifice for us. So he says to draw near to God with full assurance that our guilty conscience has been cleansed and our bodies have been washed. This is imagery. But I think it’s the kind of imagery tha
