First, figure out how much you can afford. Then, figure out what you want in a house. Things like house type, square footage, how many bedrooms do you need and how many bathrooms you need are all important. Other factors to consider include how nice the neighborhood is and how far away your house is from stores and things to do. If you have kids, you will also want to see if the school district is good.
