Description

Today an upper-level ridge moves over the Tri-state area and will push highs into the mid 60’s. Tomorrow, the ridge starts to move east as an upper-level trough begins to move in from the west swinging a cold front through early Wednesday morning. This will result in continued warming temperatures to record readings in the low to mid-70’s then fall 25-30-degrees behind the fronts arrival to afternoon high readings in the upper 40’s with north winds gusting to 30 mph Wednesday afternoon. There is no moisture to work with, thus forecast remains dry. For Thanksgiving the trough moves eastward over the Great Lakes region and northwest flow prevails over the Great Plains as a ridge builds out west. This will result in a quiet weather day for the holiday with highs in the 50’s and lows in the 20’s. Friday the week ends with a warm front returning temps back into the 60’s.
