VOP 2022: March 10, 2022 Prayer that avails and prevails Avails: This means Prayer that is useful, of benefit, not in vain, goes a long way, not wasted Prevails: Wins prove more powerful than opposing forces; be victorious. Acronym of Prayer PR-Praise; Prevails; A: Avails; Y: Yield to the Holy Spirit; E: Expectant; R: Receive speedy answers. Some qualities of PRAYER 1. It must be from a pure and contrite Spirit. Psalm 51:17. 2. We must follow: ACTS (Adoration; Confession; Thanksgiving; Supplication. 3. It must be from a heart of gratitude (Psalm 100:4-5). 4. Do not be anxious. Philippians 4:6-7. 5. Put on the Whole Armour of God. Ephesians 6:10-18. 6. It must be by faith. Hebrews 4:1. If just be mixed with faith (not dear, anxieties, doubt or unbelief) No vain repetition. 7. Receive Peace and thank Him in advance Enter into God’s rest.
