VOP 2022: June 22, 2022 Stay Hot, Shine brighter “Flame of Fire” There are three main states of Heat namely Hot, Lukewarm or Cold (HLC). Our Spiritual flame or fervency can be measured or compared to the physical state. One significant difference between hot and cold is that the cold needs energy to get hot, but the hot does not need energy to become cold. If you leave a hot cup of water for while, it becomes cold naturally once it is simply left without any force or energy. Therefore, we need to put more effort and be intentional about staying hot spiritually. There are many distractions that can make people wax cold if they are not cautious or watchful. Hence we are warned by the Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour to ensure that we stay hot or cold and not lukewarm. The best choice of the three out of Hot, Lukewarm and Cold is HOT. Lukewarm water is very unattractive while Cold is not recommended particularly in some cases. Coldness is evident by signs of weariness, weakness or slothfulness. The Holy Spirit represents the Fire residing in us when we develop a deeper fellowship and relationship with the Godhead (God The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. He is our Power source and Power house.
