VOP 2022: July 20, 2022- Complete Obedience+Complete Reconciliation=Complete Restoration. “3C-factor” If we are obedient in some areas and leave out other areas, we would not receive the fullness of God’s ordained blessings. When we are fully obedient, we attract favour from men and above all God rewards us with spiritual and material blessings. Complete obedience also leads to complete reconciliation and ultimately complete restoration which grants us joy and all round peace. Isaac obeyed God when he was instructed to stay in Gerar and not leave the Land during the famine. Although the was opposed by Abimelech and the herds men, he did not fight back, but humbly moved from Gerar to Esek where he was opposed again. He further moved from Esek to Sitnah where he was opposed again. Then he moved to Rehoboth where he finally had room and rest from the opposition of men. Isaac built an altar into God and praised Him for the victory. When God saw his ways and reactions to his enemies, he made his enemies who had driven him away to come back looking for him. There was complete reconciliation between Isaac, Abimelech and their herdsmen. When we forgive in obedience, our restoration is made complete.
