Villarreal, Milan resume Chukwueze talks

<p>Villarreal and AC Milan are set to resume talks over the transfer of Villarreal forward, Samuel Chukwueze.</p>, <p>According to Calciomercato, Milan CEO, Giorgio Furlani, led another round of negotiations on Wednesday to try to convince Villarreal to lower their £35m request for the midfielder, after initial talks broke down.</p>, <p>The 24-year-old, who has a year left on his contract with Villarreal, has been identified as a top target for Milan in the transfer window.</p>, <p>Furlani met with Villarreal officials in Italy a few weeks ago to begin talks about a sale of the Nigerian to Milan, but both parties couldn’t agree on a transfer fee for Chukwueze.</p>, <p>Villarreal are demanding £35m to sell him, with one year left on his contract. Milan had seen an initial £25m offer rejected by Villarreal.</p>, <p>It has been reported that Milan are already exploring the option of signing Netherlands’ Arnaut Danjuma as an alternative to Chukwueze.</p>, <p>The Nigeria International is keen on starting a new challenge in Italy after agreeing on personal terms with Milan weeks ago, but the transfer fee has been the stumbling block between the two clubs.</p>, <p>Chukwueze had an excellent time in Spain last season, notching an impressive 13 goals and providing 11 assists.</p>
