US Open: Djokovic claims historic 24th Grand Slam

<p>Novak Djokovic, on Sunday, made history by winning his fourth US Open.</p>, <p>It was also a record-equalling 24th Grand Slam title.</p>, <p>Djokovic saw off Danil Medvedev in straight sets of 6-3 7-6 (7-5) 6-3.</p>, <p>In doing so, he becomes the oldest US Open champion in the Open Era.</p>, <p>The 36-year-old Serbian won his third Grand Slam title of the year having claimed the Australian Open and French Open.</p>, <p>His only blemish came in the epic Wimbledon final, where he lost in five sets to Carlos Alcaraz.</p>, <p>Two years ago at the US Open, Medvedev had denied Djokovic a rare calendar Grand Slam.</p>
