Unseasonably Warm & Dry This Week; Cooler More Active WX Pattern Starts Fri Night Continues Over Weekend & Next Week

<p>This week unseasonably warm and dry weather prevails until Friday and over the weekend when the next upper-level trough and series of systems come over the Rockies and across the Plains.  Today, a minor upper-level trough will start the day with some clouds and colder temps, but afternoon sun and west-northwest winds warm us in the mid-60’s.   Tomorrow and Wednesday, a high-pressure ridge continues to amplify over the Western U.S. and down-slope westerly flow will keep warming daytime temps into the 70’s.  Thursday the ridges axis moves over the area and east, but we still warm in the 60’s with some high clouds.  Friday will cool into the low 60’s with the first low-pressure and cold front moving across the region late in the day and overnight.  Current track would have the Tri-state area in the dry slot and precipitation north and east of the area. </p>
