Two-Minute Drill: Redhawk Student-Athletes Soar in the Classroom

SEMO Athletics won its first-ever Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner's Cup, the league's ultimate symbol of overall athletic excellence in Conference-sponsored championships. In addition to winning championships and earning athletic accolades, Redhawk student-athletes also performed at high levels in the classroom. During a challenging spring 2021 semester during which every Redhawk team was competing in-season, SEMO Athletics achieved a 3.23 departmental GPA. Fourteen of SEMO's 15 sports finished with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher Individually, a total of 122 student-athletes made the Dean's List in the fall and 105 student-athletes earned that distinction in the spring. There were 146 student-athletes on the President's List, including 78 in the fall and 68 in the spring. Several Redhawk student athletes earned recognition across campus.
