We are talking about these two topics because, Christ tells us in Mark 8:34-38, that we are to: take up our cross daily and follow Him. That whoever desires to come after Him and follow Him, must deny themselves. We must lose our lives for His sake and the gospel's. Because at the end of the day, for not doing so, He gives us this sad and dreadful commentary: (v.36) "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?" 😔😥 Some of us in the Body of Christ act like we don't know what sin is! Listen, the price we pay for sin is DEATH! That is why we must turn from our wickedness, turn from riotous living, turn from sexual immorality, turn from worldly lust and passions, turn from rebellion against God... And turn to the only One that can save us - the Lord Jesus Christ! You are now free to be holy - now live like it!! As children of God, these are our marching orders and truths of our freedom from sin because of atoning sacrifice of Christ on our behalf at the cross. As well as the consequence of if we abide NOT in Christ, but remain in willful, habitual, practicing sin, we face the wrath of God: 👉🏾 John 8:10-11, "When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." 👉🏾Romans 6, "7 For the person who has died [with Christ] has been freed from [the power of] sin...11 Even so, consider yourselves to be dead to sin [and your relationship to it broken], but alive to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus...14 For sin will no longer be a master over you, since you are not under Law [as slaves], but under [unme
