Have you ever been in a spot where you knew, “Well, it’s too late to turn back now”? The first thing that came to my mind was when I was standing at the end of the aisle in a church full of people all dressed up and the Wedding March began to play and the white dress appeared and began to walk down the aisle toward me. I am sure the feeling was mutual. I have a good friend who was US Army Airborne and he said when you walk up to the door and the green light it on, you just step out into the air. Too late to turn back then for sure. And of course, there are endless examples. But I have one for you that is eternal. Jesus was less than one week out from his crucifixion. He knew it. He was headed to Jerusalem where he would be betrayed, tried, flogged, crucified and buried. He was on a path that was prophesied about hundreds of years before. When it is too late to turn back in your life,…Jesus is there waiting for you. This message discusses the road into Jerusalem and what it means to you and to me and it asks us what the crowd asked about Jesus that very day, “Who is this?” Jesus can turn things around for you because he did not turn around. He faced the cross and continued so that we could live a life eternal.
