To know the mind of the Lord

<p>The scripture for the week is from 1 Kings 3:9, “Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?” Solomon prayed, knowing that God has put him over His people. Solomon's request reveals his submission to the sovereignty of God over Israel (and all things). God was so pleased with Solomon’s request that he also gave him riches and honor. Let us pray that our children will be seekers of God's mind. Amen!</p>
