Third Sunday of Advent, December 17, 2023, 10:45 A.M. Sunday Worship Service

<p>Hi there, and God&#39;s blessings to you and those you love! Welcome to Stony Creek UMC worship service. We are thankful for you, want you to feel comfortable in whatever ways you choose to participate with us (if you choose to), and please know there is no pressure or expectations from us. In this faith community we believe that ALL people are worthy of being, mercy, love, and grace. You are made in the image of God and that means you are beautiful just the way you are. You are also a beloved child of God and cherished sibling of Jesus Christ, which means that you are loved unconditionally, and there is nothing you can ever do to separate yourself from God&#39;s perfect love and saving grace.</p> <p><br></p> <p>This is the third Sunday of Advent and we are continuing in our Advent/Christmas sermon series, &quot;Where We Belong.&quot; Last week, Pastor Michael preached about home versus the &quot;wilderness,&quot; and how God knows our wilderness stories and fears because God is with us always, whether at home or out in the wilderness. Pastor Michael is always striving to connect Scripture with our daily lives, and encourages everyone to ask questions and try to be willing to re-examine our theology and understandings of God and the world.
