The Surprising Zone of God’s Goodness - Sermon - April 30, 2023

<p>Ever been in the middle of a rope bridge, high over a raging South American river, when an NFL lineman steps on? Me neither, but I can imagine what the jolt would feel like. If you can imagine it too, you&#39;ll be in a position to understand why Pastor John offers the blunt teaching he does in the scintillating passage from I John we reach this Sunday. That passage has got a tricky verse right in the middle. However, when we uncover its meaning we discover an inspiring answer to an honest question we&#39;ve all probably had about the Christians story, especially if we&#39;re growing in our understanding of the gospel. Therefore, don&#39;t miss Week 3 of &quot;He Became Us (What the Body of Christ Means for the Body of Christ).&quot; And if you&#39;ve forgotten how important you are to Hillside, may I take this moment to remind you?
