Denied Music founder, Daniel Allen, joins HRVST for the 18th episode of The Slabbed Out Sesh. Akin to the mysterious sea anemone, Daniel Allen's sensibilities extend from deep underground straight up to the glimmering surface. Since his start in '89, he's had his tentacles in everything — 80s, drum & bass, house, techno, and all fusions thereof — giving his DJ sets a riveting, tactile quality. On the creative side, Daniel currently has over 50 releases distributed on labels such as Viva Recordings, Priroslin, Colour and Pitch, and many more. Between steering the helm of misfit record label Denied Music and studio work, he can be found at his residencies in Austin, New Orleans, and Houston. Denied Music goes against the current like determined salmon up the run. Instinctual, graceful, and rigorous describe both the sound and drive behind the label.
