We have been reconciled to God and given a ministry of reconciliation. Reconciliation indicates the end of hostilities and the restoration of good relationship. God wants us to shout from the rooftop is that he is for us and not against us. The church not only needs to declare this message, but also put it into practice by being a forgiving and reconciling community. Our personal relationship with Jesus is both the pattern and the power of forgiveness that we share with others.
