<p>Tuesday 27th&nbsp;April&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>The Power of Repetition 2</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Bruce Lee, the martial arts legend once said, “I do not fear the man who can do 10000 different kicks, but I fear the man who can do one kick 10000 times. Bruce Lee is simply talking about the expertise one would have developed after practicing a single kick 10000 times.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The power of repetition is simply time commitment. Repetition allows experience things at a deeper level, because of the lingering effect of repetition. Someone rightly said “Repetition is the law of deep and lasting impression”. This implies that the more we repeat something, the deeper it goes into our system and the longer it lasts. If you want something to make an indelible mark on you, you must go beyond the casual “touch and go”.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Philippians 3:1 (GNB),&nbsp;In conclusion, my friends, be joyful in your union with the Lord. I don't mind repeating what I have written before, and you will be safer if I do so.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Apostle Paul said repetition is a good thing!</p> <p>Gladwell Malcolm talked about how to develop mastery in his book Outliers. He spoke about the 10000-hour rule. That is, to become outstanding in any area of life we must have practiced the skill repeatedly for 10000 hours. It is this commitment that brings out mastery in us.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>As Christian, we can be involved in a lot of spiritual activities, but to develop mastery, there is a deliberate process we must commit ourselves to. Jesus set this example as He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane. The wordings of His prayer were basically the same but He prayed it over and over again intentionally and with intensity. By the time He was through praying, He was infused with so much power and strength that He was able to go to cross successfully.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>I pray that as you commit time to experience God through prayer and His Word repeatedly, that the power of repetition will impress and impact you on a mig
