The “One Thing is Necessary” Thing - Full Service - September 4, 2022

<p>Any morning in which Allison bakes scones is a great morning in the Seitz home. "Hot out of the oven" scones have the power to turn a bad day into a good day, a bad mood into a good one (I've sometimes wondered whether the "cake" that the Angel of the Lord brought to sad-sack Elijah in I Kings 19:6 was actually a scone). Recently, Allison gave me an impromptu scone-baking lesson. Something she said has helped me to understand what Jesus meant when he told the distracted Martha that "one thing is necessary." If you join us this Sunday morning at 10:00 AM for Week 3 of "Journey to Jerusalem," you'll learn what Jesus meant and it can make a big difference in your life. And in case you're tempted to stay home and watch the service on the screen, don't forget (1) that it's a Communion Sunday and (2) that your physical presence is strengthening to your fellow disciples.
