<p>Ok, this week, we’re dealing with the dirty “D” word…</p><p><em><br>Delegation!</em></p><p><br>Man, I’ve had a love-hate relationship with that word over the years. Love the idea of it, but the implementation can be challenging.</p><p><br>If I’m honest, I’m good at figuring out the high-level processes, and...the details drive me a little nuts.</p><p><br>Maybe you can relate?</p><p><br>I think the challenges are magnified in a professional service setting. Sure, the science of what you do is easy to break into steps. It’s mechanical. </p><p><br>The hard part is how to turn the art of what you do into a system--the strategy, the critical thinking, problem-solving, and application of your vast store of specialized knowledge to a specific client’s problem today.</p><p><br>My thinking on how to do this has changed over the last couple of months, and (I think) my approach has improved and simplified.
