<p>&nbsp;Tuesday 29th June&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Force of Joy 9</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The bible encourages us to be followers of saints who in time past obtained the promises of God through faith and patience. These people went through challenging times just as we do today and all came out victorious. If we learn the things, they learnt and do the things they did, we will enjoy victory just as they did.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>David is a classic example of this.</p> <p>David had a very adventurous life, with many ups and downs, but we can't help but see the role the force of joy played in his life. His life seemed normal until he was anointed king, that’s where real trouble started in his life. He had trouble with his family members, the king who was also his father-in-law wanted him dead, his children hated themselves and one of his sons ousted him from the throne. His life was full of tension, wars, betrayals and pain considering all he had gone through there was really no reason for him to be joyful. This man however, was a great singer, one who loved to praise God, he’s known as the sweet psalmist of Israel writing some of the most inspiring and encouraging Psalms in the bible.</p> <p><br></p> <p>What was David’s secret?</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Psalm 126:5-6 NKJV</p> <p>5 Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.6 He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>David understood how to focus on the joy of at the end even in the midst of problems, he had personal, firsthand experience so he knew how to focus on the joy of reaping in the trying times of sowing. He was a grateful man who kept a light heart void of offense. When he had the opportunity to kill Saul but he didn't because of what he understood about the ways of God. He saw God in the midst of his storms, in fact he saw God in everything he did and based on this he was confident that everything would turn out well.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>If w
