In 2008 there were 117 state owned enterprises in brazil, china, India, and Russia. 239 companies from the us, Japan, and Germany fell of the Forbes global 2000 list. State capitalism empowers political tyranny by creating monopoly barriers and eliminate competition through unfair aid.
