The Complexities of Conviction _ Pt 6

<p>Saturday 19th September,2020.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>Hello and a lovely Saturday morning to you in the name of Jesus.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>I trust God that God's grace and strength is available to you. You are rising above the complexities around your conviction in the name of Jesus.</p> <p><br></p> <p>We are going read Genesis 15:1-6 (NKJV)</p> <p>15 After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”2 But Abram said, “Lord God, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” 3 Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!”4 And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.” 5 Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”6 And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>God had talked to Abraham. The first encounter we see, is a couple of years ago when Abraham was 75. God met him. He said I am going to make a great nation out of you and through your family will all the families of the earth will be blessed.</p> <p><br></p> <p>So part of the blessing of Abraham was that God was going to give him his own children and through his children, nations will come and years down the line. God had protected him, God had shielded him. He was a rich and respected man and things were growing for him but Abraham said "Lord How will you say that you are my shield and exceeding great reward when all I am seeing is childlessness". God was like "How can you be seeing childlessness when I have being telling you that you are going to have children?"
