<p><strong>Willie Chambers</strong> (born March 3, 1938) is a singer, guitarist, and former member of <a href= "https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chambers_Brothers">The Chambers Brothers</a>, a rock band in the 1960s with hits "<a href= "https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_The_Midnight_Hour">In The Midnight Hour</a>", "<a href= "https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Can%27t_Turn_You_Loose">I Can't Turn You Loose</a>", and "<a href= "https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Has_Come_Today">Time Has Come Today</a>". He continues to be a regular attraction at various venues in Los Angeles and further afield.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Early career</strong></p> <p><a href= "https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Chambers_Brothers&action=edit&section=1"> <strong>Edit</strong></a></p> <p>Originally from <a href= "https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carthage,_Mississippi">Carthage, Mississippi</a>, the Chambers Brothers first honed their skills as members of the choir in their <a href= "https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baptist">Baptist</a> church. This arrangement ended in 1952 when the eldest brother, George, was drafted into the Army. George relocated to <a href= "https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles">Los Angeles</a> after his discharge, and his brothers soon joined him.
