Thankful in Little Thankful in Much 6

<p>A beautiful Saturday to you in the name of Jesus.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>We trust God that you are enjoying your day. As we begin to draw close to the end of the month and the beginning of a new year, we cannot but give thanks to God for all that He has done.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>We are still talking about “Thankful in Little, Thankful in Much”.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>If you are thankful in little, that act of gratitude naturally makes you thankful in much and we’ve been looking at the life of David, the secret of his divine lifting and how he was able to pass it down to his descendants. Those who learnt the lesson enjoyed the same lifting that David enjoyed.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>1 king 3: 7 - 9 (NLT)</p> <p><br></p> <p>7&nbsp;“Now, O Lord my God, you have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who doesn’t know his way around.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>8&nbsp;And here I am in the midst of your own chosen people, a nation so great and numerous they cannot be counted!&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>9&nbsp;Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?”</p> <p><br></p> <p>After the death of David, there was this tussle of who would be the next king. One of his son, Adonijah, who felt he was accomplished; had a sense of entitlement and felt it was his right to be king. But God chose the little and inexperienced Solomon to be the king after his father.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p>Somehow, Solomon had learnt a number of things from his father, David one of the things he learnt was that he was a nobody without God.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>He offered this great sacrifice and God came to him in the night and said “...ask Me whatever you want and I will give it to you”.</p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p>The young man said “I am king today and I know I don’t deserve it.
